Karina Gabitova

I am a Ph.D. candidate in Economics at the University of South Florida, studying how economic development and health shape people’s lives and opportunities. My research looks at how environmental changes and early-life health experiences affect human development, especially in developing countries. I aim to find ways to support growth and resilience in communities facing challenges.I enjoy asking important questions and finding practical answers that can make a difference. Teaching has been a meaningful part of my journey, as I help students explore economic issues and think critically about real-world problems. My work is driven by a curiosity about how we can use economics to improve lives and build stronger communities.
